Apa itu TOEIC?
TOEIC adalah singkatan dari Test of English for International Communication. TOEIC digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan bahasa Inggris penutur non-bahasa Inggris dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris sehari-hari di lingkungan kerja internasional.
ETS (Educational Testing Service) mengambangkan tes TOEIC untuk mengukur kemampuan bahasa Inggris dalam lingkungan bisnis yang digunakan secara internasional. Figur utama pencetus tes TOEIC ini adalah seseorang berkebangsaan Jepang, Yasuo Kitoka. Pada tahun 1970, Kitoka mengusulkan kepada ETS untuk membuat soal tes berbasis bisnis bagi para pekerja Jepang yang bekerja di perusahaan internasional. ETS mulai mengembangkan tes TOEIC pada tahun 1977 dan tes TOEIC pertama kali dilakukan di Jepang pada tahun 1979.
Dalam perjalanannya, TOEIC kini terdiri dari beberapa edisi, yaitu Tes TOEIC Listening-Reading, Tes TOEIC Speaking - Writing, dan TOEIC Bridge.
TOEIC Listening-Reading (L/R)
Tes ini berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 200 butir. Jenis TOEIC ini memiliki kisaran skor mulai dari 10-900.
TOEIC Speaking-Writing (S/W)
Tes ini dikenalkan pertama kali pada tahun 2006. Tes Speaking ini menilai pengucapan, kosa kata, tata bahasa, dan kelancaran, sedangkan ujian Writing mencakup penilaian kosa kata, tata bahasa, koherensi penulisan wacana.
TOEIC Bridge
TOEIC Bridge merupakan versi sederhana TOEIC. Tes TOEIC memiliki target pasar pada usia siswa awal hingga menengah yang terdiri atas 100 soal dan berdurasi sekitar 1 jam.

Apa itu TOEFL?
TOEFL atau Test of English as a Foreign Language adalah evaluasi yang digunakan seseorang untuk menggunakan dan memahami bahasa Inggris dalam lingkungan akademis. Tes ini dipersyaratkan bagi para calon mahasiswa baru yang akan bersekolah di universitas di luar negeri. Nilai TOEFL berlaku selama 2 tahun dan kemudian tidak lagi akan dilaporkan secara berkala. Universitas maupun perguruan tinggi biasanya hanya mempertimbangkan skor TOEFL terbaru atau yang paling terakhir dilakukan.
Tes TOEFL merupakan merek dagang terdaftar oleh ETS (Educational Testing Service) dan diberikan di seluruh dunia. Tes ini pertama kali dilakukan pada tahun 1964 dan sejak itu telah dilakukan oleh lebih dari 23 juta pelajar di seluruh dunia. Tes ini dikembangkan pertama kali oleh Pusat Linguistik Terapan, Universitas Stanford oleh Dr. Charles A. Ferguson.
Komite Penguji TOEFL terdiri atas 12 pakar dalam bidang linguistik, pengujian bahasa, pengajaran serta penelitian. Tanggung jawab komite ini adalah memberikan arahan dan masukkan atas isi tes TOEFL. Komite ini membantu memastikan bahwa tes yang dibuat memiliki validitas kemampuan bahasa Inggris yang mencerminkan tren saat ini.
TOEFL terdiri atas 2 jenis seri tes, yaitu Paper-based TOEFL (PBT) dan Internet-based TOEFL (IBT). Sebelum IBT lahir, terdapat seri TOEFL yang bernama Computer-Based TOEFL (CBT), namun pada bulan September 2006, tes ini telah dihentikan, dan skornya dianggap sudah tidak berlaku lagi secara internasional.
Internet-based TOEFL
Tes ini terdiri atas empat bagian, yaitu, mendengarkan, membaca, berbicara, dan menulis. Tes ini dapat mencapai durasi yang sangat lama, yaitu lebih dari 4,5 jam. Jenis tes TOEFL ini mulai diperkenalkan di Amerika Serikat, Kanada, Prancis, Jerman, dan Italia pada tahun 2005. Ke depan ETS akan terus menambah pusat-pusat uji bahasa yang dapat menyelenggarakan ujian TOEFL IBT ini.
Paper-based TOEFL
Pada wilayah dimana IBT tidak dapat dilakukan, maka penyelenggaraan tes TOEFL masi berbasis PBT atau Paper-based TOEFL. Pengujian dilakukan selama 6 kali setahun pada jadwal yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Jenis tes ini berdurasi selama 3 jam dan terdiri dari 4 bagian, yaitu Mendengarkan, Struktur danEkspresi Tertulis, Membaca, dan Menulis. Berbeda dengan IBT yang dapat dilakukan pada hari yang berbeda pada tiap kemampuan, namun, PBT ini seluruh kemampuan berbahasa dapat dilakukan dalam hari yang sama.
TOEFL Junior
ETS juga menawarkan TOEFL Junior sebagai instrumen penilain bagi anak-anak usia 11 hingga 14 tahun. Namun, tes ini tidak bisa dijadikan patokan prediksi nilai TOEFL reguler yang sebenarnya.

Biaya Tes
Biaya tes TOEFL Internasional yang diselenggarakan oleh ETS adalah sekitar (IDR) 1,6 juta.
Masa Berlaku
Masa berlaku sertifikat tes TOEFL adalah maksimal 2 tahun sejak nilai dikeluarkan.
Sertifikat ETS
Pastikan sertifikat Anda memiliki komponen resmi ETS dan tidak terdapat komponen pendukung non-ETS.
Namun, jangan khawatir, sertifikat prediksi skor TOEFL yang diselenggarakan institusi non-ETS yang tidak memenuhi komponen di atas tetap berlaku namun hanya secara nasional saja.

TellMeMore campus is a highly integrated English e-learning applied in an educational institution. TellMeMore campus can be integrated with the 2006 School Based Curriculum (KTSP 2006) in schools and universities.
TellMeMore School Based Program
EB Semarang provides School Based Program to our students. The course length is for the whole one year license. TellMeMore School Based program is designed by our Pedagogy Developmental Team to prepare our students facing the daily tests, mid-term tests, final semester test and the National Examination. Ous students are still able to access our School Based TellMeMore Program through their homes as enrichment.

The Curriculum
TellMeMore Center School Based Program is based on the 2006 School Based Curriculum (KTSP 2006)
TellMeMore Center provides the hand-out of School e-book entitled Schafolding for Junior High School
and Interlanguage for Senior High School.
The students of School Based Program may also be able to access the TellMeMore School Based Materials
through their homes or anywhere else eqipped with internet connection. So, by doing so, the students will
not depend to the tutor and make them more creative and independent in learning.
The Tutors
TellMeMore Center hires quilified and creative tutors from a specific well-known universities majoring
English Education. This will maintain our quality of teaching and learning method. Seniors students of
Bachelor of Education and also graduated students from Bachelor of Education. TellMeMore Center ensures
the quality of the Tutors' ability in teaching.
